Right, let me break this down — because the Fiido C700 is one of those bikes that gets a lot of things right quietly, without shouting about it. It's not trying to be an off-road machine or a performance racer. It's a commuter electric bike designed around how people actually move through cities: short bursts, traffic lights, a bit of a hill here and there, a café stop, maybe a longer run at the weekend. And for that purpose, it's genuinely excellent.
The step-through frame is the first thing you'll notice. No crossbar to swing your leg over in work clothes or a coat. You step on, settle in, and go — and the upright riding position keeps your back relaxed and gives you a clear view of what's ahead. In busy traffic, being able to see the road properly matters more than most people realise.
Silent, smooth, and smarter than most
The torque sensor and 250W silent low-resistance motor work together in a way that makes city riding feel almost effortless. The assistance responds to how hard you're pedalling rather than simply whether you're pedalling — so riding the C700 in traffic feels genuinely intuitive rather than mechanical. British roads being what they are — plenty of stop-start, the odd steep approach to a junction — that natural power delivery makes a real difference to how comfortable the whole commute feels.
Clean by design, low-maintenance in practice
The big differentiator here is the belt drive. No chain, no oil, no grease on your trousers on a Wednesday morning. The belt is quiet, durable, and needs almost no maintenance — exactly what you want from a city electric bike you're using every day of the week. Paired with the removable battery (up to 83 km of real-world range), the C700 fits a working week of commuting without fuss.
Built for real-world conditions
The hydraulic disc brakes give you strong, consistent stopping power in the wet — important on those damp autumn mornings when you're braking harder than you'd like. Built-in turn signals and LED lights make urban riding safer, and the IP54 water-resistant build means you don't need to babysit the forecast before leaving home. An optional front basket and rear rack handle the practicalities of everyday life without anything looking bolted-on.
If you want a step-through electric bike for daily city use that stays clean, stays quiet, and genuinely holds up over time — the Fiido C700 is one of the most considered options in its class.
Belt Drive — Clean, Silent, Maintenance-Free Commuting
Forget chain oil and degreaser. The belt drive stays clean ride after ride, keeps things near-silent, and requires virtually no maintenance — a genuine quality-of-life upgrade over traditional chain systems.
Torque Sensor + 250W Silent Motor — Natural City Riding
Power that responds to your effort, not just your movement. Smooth, proportionate assistance through traffic, junctions, and gentle hills — without the on/off jolt of cheaper cadence-based systems.
Up to 83 km Real-World Range — Removable Battery
Covers a full working week of average UK commutes. Battery detaches for easy home or office charging.
Step-Through Frame — Easy On, Easy Off
No crossbar, no awkward gymnastics in work clothes. Comfortable for riders from 155 cm to 200 cm. The upright geometry keeps you visible in traffic and relaxed over longer rides.
Hydraulic Disc Brakes — Reliable Stopping in All Conditions
Stronger and more consistent than mechanical discs, especially in wet weather. Confidence-inspiring on downhill approaches and busy urban roads.
Turn Signals + LED Lights — Safer Urban Riding
Built-in indicators make lane changes and turns clearer to other road users. Front and rear LED lighting keeps you visible at night and in low-visibility conditions.
Walk Assist (6 km/h) + Optional Rack and Basket
Walk assist makes maneuvering off the bike easy. Optional front basket and rear rack add practical carrying capacity for shopping, commuting kit, or everyday errands.

There are a few regulations surrounding electric bikes in the UK so we thought we would provide you with a summary of those below:
You must be aged 14 or over in the UK to ride an electric bike.
You do not need tax, insurance or a driving license to ride an electric bike.
To be classified as an electrically assisted pedal cycle (EAPC) in the UK, an electric bike must fulfil a certain set of criteria, including:
- Pedals - The electric bike must have pedals capable of propelling it, and motor assistance should only be provided when the pedals are moving.
- Motor - The motor’s power output must be no more than 250 watts (W).
- Speed - The motor should not be able to propel the e-bike when it’s travelling faster than 15.5mph.
Please note that if your electric bike does not meet the above 3 points, then you cannot ride on public roads. Some of our bikes exceed the 250W limit, so these are only to be used on private land with the landowner's permission.
It is the responsibility of the rider to wear protective clothing, however this is not a legal requirement.
